What a fantastic event the 2024 Valentine was, an early meet in the 2024 calender, but a great start to the year.
The whole of Holywell swimming club pulled together to make this 2 day meet one of the most enjoyable meets in many a year, feed back from participating clubs was amazing and we want to say a huge thank you for making the meet what is was.
Atmosphere was fun as always, lots of support from all the clubs, parents and swimmers alike cheering on of their teams and team mates.
Music, singing and dancing in the break added to the fun of the day, Well done to all the clubs and swimmers who gave us some super fast racing.
It was a great turn out with 17 Teams entering from all over the North West of England and North Wales.

Holywell’s youngsters were the stars of the meet, some swimming their first gala and all did amazingly well, lots of PBs (Personal Bests) that resulted in a lot of medals, the coaches are very proud of the swimmers as they help the club to the Top Team Slot ahead of Wrexham who were Top Visiting Team. Some stand out performances in the more difficult events were Tom Clarke’s 200 Fly of 2:22.48. hitting a 22.02 seconds PB. Winning Gold 🥇. Francesca Owen-Hatfield Gold 🥇 in 200 Fly.
