Holywell Valentine Meet 2018 Review
At the Valentine 2018 home meet, the atmosphere was great and the 2-day meet was a great success, Sue Hubbard, Kathryn Woolley, Barbara Simpson and Sara Feliciello the backroom team, as usual, did a brilliant job. Matt Armstong, Nigel Austin and all the volunteers in setting up and running the timing system (it was a great turn out on Friday evening to set up). Special thank you to Katy Westerman’s (Lily’s mum) who did the announcers role, lots of good compliments on this, great job. The 3 amigos (Anne Austin, Jo Allen & Wendy Cartlidge) did a superb job in preparation for the meet arranging medals, food, seating, help desk etc. Dave Jones, Lorna Clarke (Lady from Connah’s Quay) and Ffion Jones, Marshals. A big thank you to Chris Clements and all the officials, especially those who specifically came to help, I know Sue H has said it already but we do really appreciate your help (THANKYOU). and last but not least thank you to all the teams, swimmers, coaches, and teammangers, you made it an excellent competitive gala for all concerned, lots of happy swimmers faces and clanking of medals.
