Fantastic weekend of swimming from the Holywell swim team at the Regional 2023 championships.
Holywell took 31 Swimmers to Llandudno to compete in the 2023 Regional Championships on the 10th 11th & 12th February. Great team spirit and support from everyone gave the swimmers the encouragement they needed to set some very well deserved PBs.

Friday the 10th Feb was distance events, 800m and 1500m, 6 swimmers competed in the 800m, Amelia Atkins , Gold in the 11-12 age group and a 16.21 seconds PB —– Nela Jones, Silver in the 13-14 age group with a 2.17 seconds PB —–Jenna Scholze 5th in the 15-16 age group 18.25 seconds PB —– Cerys Park, Bronze in the 17 & Over age group —–Megan Pearson, Forth in the 17 & Over age group with a 7.09 seconds PB —– Jean-Luc Lovell-Pascal , Gold in the 17 & Over age group —– 1 Swimmers competed in the 1500m, Finley Potter, Gold in the 11-12 age group 40.19 seconds PB.
A brief summary :- In total the team won 64 Medals, 20 Gold – 17 Silver – 27 Bronze the team also had 13 Forth’s – 15 Fifth’s – 17 Sixth’s – 8 Seventh’s – 6 Eighth’s and had and amazing 155 PBs. A big thanks to all coaches and team managers Lorna Clarke, Charlotte Atkins, Trudie Potter and Jo Allen, and not forgetting the parents for their support. Well done team
