ASA NORTH WEST REGION MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Nicola Latty and Phil Burchell competed at the North West Regional Masters Championships held at the Palatine leisure centre, Blackpool on Saturday 19th February, 2017,

Nicola won gold in the 100m, 200m and 1500m freestyle, in winning the 3 golds Nicola added another record to her already impressive haul by breaking the British Record in the 1500m with 18:42.77 in her age group.

Phil entered 3 events and  also won 3 golds in 50m and 200m breaststroke and the 400m freestyle. all his hard work over the Christmas period, the extra effort he is putting in on his stroke technique is definatly paying off.

Nicola has already entered her next two meets, the Swim wales long course masters in Swansea in early March and the Billingham masters in Stockton on Tees on March 26th.

Later in the season Nicola will be competing at the World Masters in Budapest 14th – 20th August, the club, coaches and all the swimmers wish her all the very best.
