Holywell swimmers were at a Gala in Wrexham a couple of months ago and some of the younger/ newer swimmers had never seen a back start ledge before. For those of you who don’t know what it is – it’s a ledge that fits over the starting block and hangs in the water for the swimmer to rest their toes on at the start of the backstroke race. This then helps stop the swimmers feet slipping on the wall when doing a Backstroke start.
Jo Allen has decided to try and raise £250 to buy 1 ledge, unfortunately this is the cost of 1 and we do need 6.
So, Jo has said she will Hula hoop at our presentation evening party on 11 September for 15 minutes non stop if we can get to £250 ! If we can get double that I will keep going for 30 minutes.
Come on guys help Jo raise some money for the club, its a great cause that will help all our swimmers.
