You should be on poolside 15 minutes before the start of the warm-up, this is to allow yourself time to stretch before entering the pool for your warm-up, Please ensure you bring with you the following:

  • Appropriate swimming attire, including costume, goggles, red club hat, towel and spares.
  • Your Holywell ASC t-shirt & shorts and suitable poolside footwear – please note you will be expected to wear this at all times during the gala when you are not in the pool, refusal to do so may result in you being asked to leave poolside, if you do not yet have your club kit, please wear a red top and black shorts.
  • Sufficient food and drink to last the period you are on poolside – Note:  please avoid bringing chocolate and crisps on poolside this is not considered suitable gala food by the coaching staff.
  • Please be aware some of our swimmers have food allergies.
  • A small amount of change, including a £1 coin for lockers – it is advised you put your clothes and a spare towel in a locker (where available) to prevent them from getting wet on poolside.

If for any reason you are unable to get to the gala at the required time please notify the Head Coach

Terry Boardman (07714434521) if you do not contact Terry and you are late for warm – up you run the risk of being withdrawn from your races as withdrawals need to be in before the end of warm up.

Please remember to be courteous to your coaches, team manager, the officials, fellow swimmers, and members of other clubs. Do not leave poolside without asking permission from the team manager or coach especially when you have completed all of your races.

Finally, and the most important thing is to enjoy yourself and good luck.  #swimfast

Terry Boardman (Head Coach)
