Holywell Masters Nicola Latty and Phil Burchell Record Breaking Again.

On the 10th September Nicola Latty travelled up to Glasgow in Scotland to swim in the Scottish National Masters event at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre. Nicola swam 4 races at this meet starting with a Gold medal and setting a British Record in the 400IM, and following up with Gold medals in the 200IM, 200Brs and 200 Fly giving Nicola 4 Gold from 4 races.

Blackpool North West Masters Championships meet 25th September Nicola swimming the 1500m and setting another British Record. Phil stepped up and swam the 50m, 100m, and 200m Breaststroke setting a Welsh record in the 50m Brs.

At the Swim England Masters held at Sheffield’s Pond’s Forge International Pool on 29th to 31st of October, Nicola Latty won Gold in her first race the 200 Fly and went on to win Gold’s 100 IM, 200 IM, and Bronze in the 200 Brs. Phil Burchell had an impressive swim coming second in the 200m Brs behind 2019 world champion Chris Jones, Phil’s time of 2:38.46 set a Welsh record that was set 27 years ago in 1994.

On November 27th at the Swim Wales Masters in Newport’s International Sports Village, Nicola swam in the morning session winning Gold swimming 2:36.3 in the 200m Fly, Gold in 100m IM and later went on to win Gold and break another British record in the 200IM swimming 2:37.04.
