Holywell swimmers Recently attended 2 galas, one 50m pool meet @ Liverpool Aquatic centre and one at Wrexham’s Waterworld.
37 swimmers attended the Liverpool Splash and Dash meet held at Liverpool Aquatic Centre in Wavertree.
Some great swims from the team , some swimmers competing at their first 50m pool competition, and an overall fantastic team effort, swimmers cheered each other on and no more so than in the Skins events, swimmers are selected into the Skins event by entering their personal best time for a 200 Individual Medley, the meet organisers then select the fastest 8 Male and 8 Female swimmers who then compete over 25m swims. the Referee pulls a stroke out of a bag and all the swimmers have to race that stroke, the slowest swimmers drops out and selects the next stroke from the bag, this continues until 1 swimmers remains from the males and one from the females.
Jean-Luc did extremely well in the male event dropping out in Forth place. In the female event we had 3 entrants, Milly Jones, Georgia Wade-Jones and Emily Williams, Milly was knocked out 5th, but some super racing had Emily and Georgia contesting the final 2 placed with Emily winning the event pipping Georgia in the final.
In total the Team did extremely well winning 43 Medals, achieved 90 Personal Best Times,

WREXHAM CATH ANKERS 2022
12 Swimmers attended the Cath Ankers meet at Wrexham Waterworld on Sunday June 12th.
Some super swimming from all 12 swimmers gave the team great results, stand out swims from Finley Potter who set 2 Meet records in the Fly and Brs and Amelia Atkins who was awarded a speeding ticket in her Fly swim.
