For round 2 of the North West Junior Arena League. The Holywell team were reduced to its bare minimum of swimmers, but this didn’t stop the superb swimming and team support from those who attended the event at Stockport Metro on Saturday the 6th July.
The teams competing were:
Lane 2 Stockport Metro Green
Lane 3 Horwich
Lane 4 Stockport Metro Blue
Lane 5 Holywell
Lane 6 Romiley
At the halfway point Holywell was standing in 3rd place behind Stockport Blue and Horwich, the team pulled together cheered and shouted support for each other, the cannon race at the end was a great spectacle, Looking up at the balcony the excitement wasn’t just down on poolside, ALL the parents gave great support to their teams. In the end Holywell came out in a much deserved 2nd place behind Stockport Blue. The Officials were very impressed with the Holywell team and they expressed their admiration to the behaviour of our swimmers. The future looks great for the Holywell team, after watching some amazing swims from these 12 and under swimmers, the coaches were very proud of everyone….
