A team of 38 Holywell swimmers travelled to Llandudno for the 2022 Regional Championships which were held on the 11th-12th- & 13th February.
It was brilliant to see the team competing at the regionals in Llandudno for the first time in 2 years, our coaches and team managers were truly amazed at how well the team supported each other and how well they performed. 20 teams took part this year and the Holywell team finished a very credible 3rd overall.

At the 2022 Regionals this year, anyone with a 1st – 8th placing would have made finals, although there were no finals this year you deserve congratulations and you can count yourself a Regional finalist.
Brilliant achievement from the team coming 3rd overall with a very impressive 144 PBs (Personal Best times), 12 Golds – 11 Silver – 8 Bronze – 15 Fourth’s – 11 Fifth’s – 8 Sixth’s – 3 Sevenths – 6 Eighths).
As well as the very high PB ratio, many of our swimmers swam very fast and managed to secure Welsh Easter National times, Once Olwen from Llandudno updates the results to British Rankings you can check if you made one of the qualifying times for the Nationals.
You will also get another chance to get these times at our very own Holywell Daffodil Meet in march which is a last chance gala to get your times.
