Great team spirit at the Junior Arena League

Well done to all the Holywell A.S.C. swimmers who attended the

North West 2017 Junior Arena League Area Final at Everton Park Sports Centre.

The Holywell team did a great job coming 3rd behind Stockport Metro and Warrington ‘A’ . The racing was fast and furious and we held our own against some very good swimmers from the North East of England, our 9 year old girls won their freestyle relay and came 2nd in their Medley relay,  we also had some first and second placings in the individual events, a credit to our coaches who train these young swimmer to such a good level.

Well done to Katie Allen and Jean-Luc Lovell-Pascal took up the roles of  team captains for the this years event, they set the standard leading off the first 2 races in the 12 year old 100IM

Peter Barton the meet organiser thanked us for attending and helping with officials, he had some very complimentary words about our team afterwards, saying, we had some very good swimmers throughout the age groups and the team acted and behaved exceptionally well.

The team also celebrated Luke Hall’s 12th birthday and presented him with a cake at Camp and Furnace, the whole club would like to wish Luke a Happy Birthday (swimmers, parents, coaches and committee) hope you had a great day.

A big thank you to Zoe Jones who volunteered as time keeper and Mags Lovell-Pascal who volunteered as one of the judges, Mags also arranged the after competition meal for the team at Camp and Furnace where the kids had a great time bonding away from the pool (see photos below) and to the coaches and team managers on the day Andrea Harvey, Lorna Clarke and Jo Allen

WELL DONE  HOLYWELL A.S.C. 2017 JUNIOR ARENA LEAGUE TEAM …….
