Swim Wales National Success

An amazing 2017 Swim Wales National long course event for the team, for me this was one of the best and most enjoyable Nationals i have been to, the team were incredible, not only in the number of finals made, medals won and PBs achieved, but in their attitude and enthusiasm.

Day 1 :-  9 Finals and 1 first reserve 

Liv 2 golds in 50m Brs and 200m Bk, Katie gold in 50 Brs, Sadie Bronze in 50m Brs, Bianca (1st reserve) 9th in 100fly, Ella 4th in 200mBk, and 8th in 50m Brs, Holly 4th in 200m Bk, George 8th in 50m Brs and 11th in 100m Fly

Day 2 :-  6 Finals and 1 HDW medal Katie Silver in 100m Brs and 8th in 100m Bk George 8th in 100m Brs, Liv 2 Silvers in 100m Bk and 100m Brs and a bronze in the 400m IM

The girls 4x100m 14 – 16 Medley relay came 9th Holly Bk – Sadie Brs – Bianca – and Ella FC in a time of 4:50.07

Day 3:-  8 Finals 

Sadie 6th 100m Fc, George 8th in 200IM, Ella Silver in 200 IM, Katie Silver in 50m Bk and 4th in 200IM, Holly 7th in 50 Bk, and Liv 2 Golds in 50 Bk and 200IM.

Day 4 :- 6 Finals

Bianca 6th in 50 Fly, Sadie 6th in 50m Fc, Katie 6th in 50m Fc, Liv Gold in 200 Brs, George 6th in 200Brs, Ella 5th in 200m Brs.

Over the 4 days the swimmers PBd in almost every preliminary rounds and again in the finals, in total they made 29 Finals, won 6 Golds, 5 Silvers and 2 Bronze medals, Katie Allen and Liv Davies both became national champions winning their gold medals, the team were a pleasure to watch, they warmed up/stretched together, cheered for and supported each other,  you are a credit to Holywell swimming club.
