Keep Hydrated in the Hot Weather

The weather this weekend is going to get HOT!!! drink plenty of water and keep in the shade at the Holywell Sprint meet this weekend.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF DEHYDRATION. (LOSS OF FLUIDS AND SALT)

  1. Feeling Dizzy
  2. Dry Mouth
  3. Feeling Sick
  4. Cramps
  5. Unusually excessive sweating
  6. Clammy skin
  7. Loss of appetite
  8. Headaches
  9. Restlessness

PLEASE FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING ADVISE.

  1. Keep hydrated by drinking prink plenty of water.
  2. Keep out of the sun, find a shaded place away from windows if possible.
  3. Try to avoid coffee, tea and fizzy drinks as these act as diuretics and further deplete body fluids because they make you pee more.
  4. Use carbohydrate/electrolyte drinks these replenish lost salts/sodium and helps to avoid heat cramps
