Well done to everyone who took part in round 2 of the Swim Wales Super Series. From the younger age group swimmers taking part in their first-ever swimming event to the youth and masters.
It was so nice to see everyone excited about racing again, we did have some super swims. nearly everyone achieved personal best times, considering we have missed a lot of swimming through a few lockdowns or self-isolation, our swimmers did amazing.
Big thank you to Sue Hubbard, Phil and Mags (Jean Luc’s mum and dad) and Jo Allen. Mags refereed for us, Sue and Phil did a lot of work behind the scenes entering swimmers and processing results to send to Swim Wales and Jo organised the days, where swimmers were sitting, marshalling etc and keeping everyone safe with the other Covid officers, ( Big thank you to Jo, Wendy Cartlidge, Nicola Owen Hatfield, Trudie Potter and Sandra Rich.
Thanks to the timekeepers who helped out, Dave and Sandra Rich, Laura Abracinskatie, Vlasta Jones, Dave Jones, Andy Jones, Nicola Owen-Hatfield, Geoff Boddie, Mike Thomas, Charlotte Atkins, Nigel Austin, Phil and Jean-Luc Lovel-Pascal.
Round 3 will take place on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of December, the final will be held in January,
Keep an eye on the leader board on the Swim Wales website. I am sure we will get a few into the final in January, good luck all.
