Good Luck to Jean-Luc Lovell-Pascal @ the …….British Summer Championships 2022………

Congratulations to Jean-Luc Lovell-Pascal who has achieved his goal of qualifying for the British Summer National Swimming Championships 2022.

Jean-Luc’s Journey was put on hold for 18 months due to the Covid 19 pandemic, however this didn’t deter Jean-Luc’s desire to achieve his goal of swimming at the British Championships. His hard work in training not only this year but over several years is testament to his dedication and success, all this on top of studying for and taking his school exams is testament to his dedication.

Jean-Luc has trained very hard over the past 12 months, his training hrs have reduced by 5 hrs per week post Covid-19, a different approach was taken in training methods which Jean-Luc adapted to really well.

Swimming at the Welsh Easter Nationals in April 2022 Jean-Luc made finals and characteristically upped his game swimming a hat trick of personal best times (PBs) in the finals of the following Breaststroke events, 50m (31.13), 100m (1:09.21) and 200m (2:29.20) gaining him qualification into the British Summer Championships in all 3 events.

This years event will be held on the 22nd-28th July, at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Jean-Luc will be swimming the 50m Breaststroke on Saturday 23rd, the 100m Breaststroke on Sunday 24th and the 200m Breaststroke on Tuesday the 26th. All of Holywell Swimming Club will be cheering Jean-Luc on and we wish him all the best.
