Notable Swims :-

Francesca Owen Hatfield’s 200m Fly final, a gutsy race saw Francesca swim an incredibly disciplined race keeping to her race plan, she took 16 seconds off her PB long course time. This puts Francesca No1 in Wales and No26 in Britain.

Jean-Luc Lovell-Pascal’s 200m Breaststroke final, strategy was key to this race, with the aim of gaining a top 24 place to swim at the British Summers, Jean-Luc took 3 seconds off his entry time in the preliminary’s and a further 2.4 seconds off in the final. This currently puts Jean-Luc 13th in Britain.

Jay Jones’s 100m Breaststroke Final After creeping into the Welsh Nationals Jay had a super swim in the 100m Breaststroke taking 1.55 off his entry time narrowly missing out on a medal coming 4th.

Emily Williams 100m Backstroke Final, such an exciting race to watch, Emily was seeded 11, after a great preliminary race Emily went into the final 5tt, racing into the final 15m Emily increased her stroke rate and dip finished to take the Bronze medal in 1:08.58 .

Georgia Wade-Jones’s 200 Backstroke Final. Watching Georgia’s effort in the last 50m shown how much she wanted to do well, a great long course PB saw Georgia come 5th in the final, super swim.

All the swimmers swam amazingly well at Nationals and were a credit to themselves and the club. Team support was fantastic, huge thanks to the parents who brought back swimmers to watch and support the finals and cheer their team mates on. It truly was great to see.

Personally i would like to thank all our coaches who help our swimmers prepare for this event. All your hard work and dedication is appreciated, as a team we are proud them all..
