Every year we see new faces come through and blend into the team, these awards are recognition to all their hard work, if it were possible, we could give awards to all the swimmers who we know work extremely hard throughout the season. Lowri gave a great presentation on her personal pathway through swimming, If one message Lowri told our swimmers during her presentation that rings true it was that at a young age she was not the fastest swimmer in her club or even her lane, and that only through hard work, the right attitude and high attendance levels at all her sessions did she start to improve.
Lowri’s history, personal bests and records.
Lowri a past swimmer from the North Wales region who has represented Great Britain and Wales competed at 3 Commonwealth games at Manchester 2002, Melbourne 2006 and Deli 2010.
Lowri also competed at the 2009 World Aquatics Championships at the Foro Italia sports complex in Rome, Italy. After achieving a time of 1:08.30 in the heats of the women’s 100m breaststroke, Lowri was selected for the women’s 4x100m Medley relay where the British team finished 4th in a new British record time of 3:57.03.
