Changes?

Dear Parents and Swimmers,

HASC committee appreciate your patience and commitment to the club. As most of you are aware some changes and disruption to our normal service have been occurring of late. These may continue for a little while longer, up until the end of March. The reason for this disruption is largely due to the leisure centre undergoing a change in its management, as a Community Asset Transfer takes place.

The Community Asset Transfer has now been under way for over 12 months and members of the committee have been working with and negotiating with the new management to secure the very best terms at all levels for the club. As we near the final stages of the community take-over there may indeed be some further disruption. However, we assure you that the HASC committee are working tirelessly to achieve what is best for the club. Please bear with us for this last period of the transfer.

The Community Asset transfer has been necessary to ensure that the pool and centre remain open in Holywell. Without this happening there would have been a high chance the centre would be closed and Holywell swimming club would have to find a new home or close too.

In recent year’s due to UK’s economic situation thousands of buildings and spaces across the UK have been taken on and successfully managed by community organisations for the benefit of the local community. I hope you will join the committee in wishing the new Leisure Centre management team every success as we at HASC work in partnership with them to secure the future of both organisations.

We will endeavour to keep you informed. If you have questions or feedback about the changes or disruption or indeed any other Swimming club matter or you don’t know who you need to speak to you can email questionsandfeedback@holywellswimmingclub.co.uk .Darren Williams your Parent Representative will either respond or direct your query to the right person.
